Day 31 – Friday 24th June 2016

Piecing together our tour of America…
Today the weather in Kelowna was awful again so instead of writing about doing nothing I’ll introduce you to details our trip to the States next month.
Tomorrow marks a week left in Kelowna, and just eight days left in Canada altogether. After that, as most of you know already, we’re heading down to America for a while. With our schedule and budget in mind, we are only there for thirty days in total, but we’re cramming in a hell of a lot with the time we have.
On Sunday 3rd July we travel from Vancouver (bye bye Canada!) to Seattle, our first stop across the border. I wont detail too much about how long we’re staying everywhere etc. but from there our trip looks a little like this:

That’s Seattle to San Francisco, to Los Angeles, to Austin, to Houston, to New Orleans, to Atlanta, to Washington DC, to Philadelphia, to New York City. We will be stopping in at least eight states, and travelling through a further nine (roughly). We’ve also intentionally left out some bits (Vegas being the main one) because we’ll only end up doing them again some day as a holiday.
In terms of getting around our plans are pretty versatile, including buses, hire vans, planes, trains, and just about whatever else we can find as a means of transport. Accommodation wise, we have already booked a few hotels, motels, hostels, and campsites, with a few overnights between destinations.
We’d really appreciate as many suggestions or recommendations that we can get our hands on, so please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or send me a message if there’s anything worth us knowing about!
