Welcome to the United States of America…
Today’s the day! After another six hour bus ride we are finally in America.
We got out of bed early because breakfast at our hotel is only served between 07:00 – 09:00. We didn’t really unpack so didn’t have much to do except for take advantage of the free Wi-Fi, which for the whole of last night I couldn’t connect to, because when told that the password is hotel backwards I put it in as loteh. Idiot.
We walked back to central Pacific station for one last time and got on our bus to Seattle with passports and border crossing cards in hand. The ride was great, and crossing the border was exciting if anything. We high fived when we actually arrived in America because we’re mature adults you know?
We found ourselves lost and without Wi-Fi for quite a while upon arrival in Seattle and although we managed to work out which bus to take we had no idea where to get off. We took it for probably twenty minutes too long before turning around and taking the same ride in the opposite direction to get to where we are staying.
Tonight is our first night staying in a place booked through Airbnb (since we left home at least) so hopefully all goes to plan! I’ll let you all know tomorrow I guess.
