We’re half way there…
I can’t believe that I’m actually writing this but today marks six months since leaving home, which means we’re half way through our adventure already!
Our day got off to a great start – we had to move the swings across the garden and found a baby huntsman spider when doing so! Abbie was fascinated, and I managed to get close enough for a picture without being jumped at which was great:
We spent the whole morning working on the pirate ship, which has now been spray painted brown and has a sail. Here’s Abbie in action again:
Then in the afternoon we had to drop Victor off at the train station (he’s leaving for good) and then pick up all of the kids from school. We took them to the park for a few hours and although they tried to push their luck we didn’t have any dramas, then even convinced them to put on their pretty faces for a group selfie. It’s probably worth noting that the sunglasses I’m wearing aren’t mine but I found them in the back of the car and they’re better that nothing:
It was a really nice day, but it’s a little bit sad. For me the past six months have flown by so fast – I just hope the next six take their time a little!
