A day in the life of a chauffeur…
Although today was considered work for us it didn’t really feel like it – all we had to do was drive down to Ulladulla to drop somebody home, then turn around and drive straight back again. We left at around 11:00 after eating breakfast, and although it took about two and a half hours to get to get there (via Bowral and Nowra) it took more like four hours to get back because we took more of a coastal route (via Mollymook and Seven Mile Beach).
Our hosts told us that under no circumstance should we leave Mollymook without stopping for a coffee, but it was over 30℃ so we opted for ice cream and a walk along the beach instead:
We didn’t hang around for too long, then carried on as far as Seven Mile Beach where we jumped out and had a very quick splash in the South Pacific:
We did plan on stopping at Wollongong as well but started to run out of time and energy, so from Seven Mile Beach it was straight back to the M31 all the way home. I was absolutely exhausted and managed to fall asleep immediately after dinner at around 20:00, leaving Abbie up on her own to enjoy the peace and quiet. It was a very long and tiring day, but one I’d definitely choose over manual labour if the opportunity it’s comes up again!
