Birthdays can be put on hold, right?
Today was Ellie’s third birthday, but her mum and dad both had to work, so we just didn’t say anything and will pretend that it’s her birthday tomorrow instead. I must admit, I’m curious as to whether or not my parents ever done something similar, because it’s almost too easy to get away with. Anyway, with her parents out for the day Abbie and I were left to sort out the tennis court, and by sort out I mean cut back loads of overgrown trees and then blow all of the dead leaves into a pile.
To be honest it didn’t take long at all, but we found a skateboard in the process, which meant only one thing! Equipped with two leaf blowers, one petrol and one battery powered, we successfully turned the quite normal skateboard into a momentum building masterpiece. I’m not sure how fast we managed to get it going, but it was fun nonetheless. We’ll try and do it again before we leave so that we can get evidence too because it was absolutely hilarious.
The kids didn’t misbehave at all really, which actually surprised their parents, but Abbie is solely responsible for that. She has this magic ability to tame children that I don’t understand in the slightest. The amazing leaf blowing skateboard was definitely today’s highlight though, nothing else of interest happened really, sorry to disappoint!
