Heading back down to Cairns…
We woke up today in the Australian rainforest with no hangover in sight and a perfectly clear blue sky above us:
In fact, it was so beautiful that we couldn’t resist a walk to the beach before jumping back into the car and hitting the road. The only down side to beaches up at Cape Trib is the fact that they are infested by crocodiles and box jellyfish, so we didn’t hang around for very long. It was hard to leave though, especially when everything looked this spectacular:
After writing some messages in the sand and stopping for photographs we took off, but didn’t have to drive for long before reaching the Kulki Boardwalk, which we took as far as Cape Tribulation Lookout:
From there we started to head south, but couldn’t pass Mason’s Waterhole on Mall Creek without stopping for a swim:
We drove as far as Mossman before stopping for lunch, then carried on back to Cairns via Ellis Beach where we also went for a quick swim. Upon arrival back in the city we checked into Cairns Holyday Park again, then went out to book something a bit special for tomorrow. Keep your eyes peeled, you definitely don’t want to miss my next post, whenever that may be!
