The end of our little break…
Time certainly does fly when you’re having fun, especially on a mini holiday half way around the world. We’ve had the best time ever, but all good things come to an end don’t they?
Day 237 – Saturday 14th January 2017
Being our final full day at the campsite today we figured that we’d make the most of it, so took two gazebos and ten camping chairs down to the river at sunrise and didn’t leave until sunset.
We had one last chance to get everything done, so gave the snorkelling bits, inflatables, kayaks and fishing gear a final run out in the morning, then spent the afternoon relaxing in the shade where it was a tad cooler.
In the evening we had a quick and easy dinner before pre-packing ahead of leaving in the morning. We knew that the tent wouldn’t take nearly as long to pull down as the six hours that it took to put up, but didn’t want to cut ourselves short either, so had an early night to make sure that the morning was as stress free as possible.
Day 238 – Sunday 15th January 2017
Today we done nothing but pack away and drive home, so here’s a couple of the photographs that I’ve promised over the last few days:
Unfortunately my GoPro (which I used to take the majority of photographs and videos) is playing up, so the above is just about all I can offer right now. I couldn’t keep putting things off though, so they’ll have to do for the time being!
What a week it’s been. We owe a massive thanks to Clarissa and Jonathan for being so amazing and inviting us along for the adventure with them. Australia honestly wouldn’t have been the same without them.
